Where Do I Fly From ITH?
ITH is your one-stop connection to over 650 global destinations through connecting hubs in Detroit, Newark, and Philadelphia via Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and American Airlines respectively. You can connect to flights to any global destination from these hubs—you can fly to destinations in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East directly from Ithaca! In order to make your travels easier, here is some information about each of our three stops.
Detroit Metro
Located just outside of Detroit, the Detroit Metropolitan Airport offers international and domestic flights on thirteen major airlines, including Delta, American Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic. With over 140 nonstop destinations, 6 terminals, and 120 shops and restaurants, Detroit Metro will make your connecting or one-stop flight a pleasurable experience. Though the airport boasts a wide variety of services, they can be somewhat expensive to travelers. Plan your travel time accordingly, as you may require a shuttle or other forms of transportation to reach your terminal.
Newark Liberty International
Newark Liberty International Airport is America’s oldest airfield, having opened in 1928 for its first flights, as well as the first American commercial airport. EWR has the most domestic & international connections of all of three of the hubs ITH connects to. Travelers can quickly reach New York City – Newark is just 14 miles away from Manhattan—and other destinations. EWR just underwent massive reconstruction in terminals C & A, creating additional food options.
Philadelphia International Airport
The Philadelphia International Airport is located just 7 miles from downtown Philadelphia, offering a wide variety of restaurants and retailers for incoming and outgoing passengers. They offer over 412 daily flights and 196 nonstop domestic and international flights arriving and departing each day. Leave extra travel time to reach your destination—the airport is very large and travel can take up to thirty minutes between locations. It may also be difficult to find your way around, so make sure to plan the route to your terminal ahead of time.
Whether you are transferring for a cross-country or international flight or simply flying out to one of the cities for a visit, Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport will help you reach your destination in no time. We can connect you to 350 international destinations over 12 different carriers with just a short drive from your home.
