Community members, business leaders and friends heralded the launch of four daily non-stop flights from Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) to Continental Airlines’ New York/New Jersey hub at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) at ITH.

Airport Manager Bob Nicholas and special guest Congressman Michael Arcuri (CD-24), members of the Air Service Board, the Tompkins County Legislature, the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce and Tompkins County Area Development welcomed the community in a gala celebration and ribbon-cutting in honor of Continental Connection by CommutAir.

“On behalf of all of us here at the airport, I want to thank U.S. Congressman Michael Arcuri for being with us today. I also want to extend our gratitude to all members of our wonderful community for their steadfast support for increased and revitalized air service for Upstate New York,” said Robert (Bob) Nicholas, A.A.E., Airport Manger at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport.
