Call for Entries – Art in the Airport
Ithaca, NY, August 2, 2012 – The Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport is hosting its third annual juried art show.
The first place prize will be a $500 travel voucher good for flying in or out of ITH. The 2nd prize will be a $250 travel voucher and all other participants whose work is selected will receive one-time long-term parking vouchers good for $25.
The jury seeks work considering the theme of “travel”. Amateur photography will be accepted. Youth under age 18 are encouraged to submit their own work for display in the airport (no entry fee). The deadline for artist submissions is Friday, September 7, 2012 by 5:00 p.m.
“In keeping with the fact that people from all walks of life use the airport, this year we are opening up the competition to just about anyone who can point and click a camera. If you have a photo or can take one that fits our “travel” theme and you want to win one of our fabulous prizes submit your photo to flyithaca.info@gmail.com by the September 7th deadline,” said Airport Manage Bob Nicholas. “We will be donating the entry fees for the show to the Community Arts Partnership.”
