Delta Restores Full Services Between Detroit and Ithaca
Beginning November 5th, 2017, Delta Airlines will resume their late night and early morning services between Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH). Reservations are now available with a full schedule being posted.
This revamping to Delta’s Detroit services comes after these flights were temporarily canceled in September to allow Delta’s planes to remain overnight in Detroit. The late night flight from Detroit into Ithaca will now stay at ITH overnight and return to DTW in the morning.
Detroit is ITH’s third largest domestic market, making the restoration of these flights crucial to getting passengers to and from this hub. ITH director Mike Hall said, “We would like to thank our many loyal travelers who expressed dismay when this flight was dropped to allow overnight fleet maintenance in Detroit. Your emphasis that the late arrival and subsequent early departure was critical to your professional and personal travel requirements was significant in our negotiation for resumption of this service.”
