Salary: $23.45/hr (hire rate), $24.69/hr after 9 months

Role Overview: As an Airport Maintenance Worker, you’ll perform a range of semiskilled duties to ensure our airport operates smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Handyman Duties: Installing and repairing wiring systems, electric fixtures, and general plumbing equipment.
• Maintenance Tasks: Handling general maintenance work such as mixing mortar, plaster, and concrete; performing minor repairs on buildings; and maintaining HVAC systems.
• Cleaning and Grounds Care: Sweeping, mopping, washing floors, and removing snow and ice. Also, managing grounds maintenance activities like mowing and trimming.
• Equipment Operation: Operating trucks, snow plows, and other motorized equipment, and assisting in loading and unloading baggage for commercial aircraft.
• Safety and Compliance: Participating in lockout/tag-out training and ensuring building systems like HVAC, elevators, and lighting are functioning correctly.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in general maintenance or handyman roles is preferred.
• Ability to perform semiskilled tasks in masonry, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and painting.
• Competency in operating various mechanical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
