Traveling to and from ITH
Making arrangements to travel to and from the airport can be stressful. Whether you don’t have a car or would prefer not to spend money on long term parking, there are a number of convenient travel options for getting to and from the airport.
The TCAT Bus System
The Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) is Ithaca’s primary public transportation system. With stops at Cornell University, Ithaca College, Lansing, Groton, and the Ithaca Commons, you are never more than a short ride away from the airport. Routes 32 and 72 provide a direct trip from the airport to the Commons; from there, you can connect to any other stop in Tompkins County. Fares are $1.50 each way for adults and $0.75 for children under 17 and seniors, but you can also purchase a prepaid card before your arrival.
Car Rentals
If you are staying in Tompkins County for an extended period of time, you may want to consider renting a car for easier local travel. It will give you more mobility during your stay in Ithaca, and can be helpful for groups travelling together. Take a look at some of our rental options before you arrive.
Taxi Services
For travelers in a hurry, Ithaca offers a variety of taxi services to get you to your destination and back to the airport in a timely manner. ITH has compiled a list of local taxi services and their rates for your convenience.
