Airport Sustainable Master Plan Takes Off
Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport has started its latest master plan update project with sustainability in mind. The Federal Aviation Administration agreed to fund a “green” master plan which would be a first in the country. In September, a kickoff meeting was held with stakeholders and the airport is well on its way to deloping sustainable concepts for future airport development. The airport is working with C&S Engineers, Inc. of Syracuse, NY to develop this new kind of planning document and both are excited about the project.
C&S is asking for input from the community by completing an online passenger survey which can be found at www.sustainableITH.com. The results of the survey are very important to the overall success of the master plan and they encourage as many folks as possible to complete it. As an extra incentive, C&S Engineers, Inc. will be making a monetary donation to the Tompkins County SPCA for each completed survey! Don’t wait, and be sure to tell your friends and colleagues.
